We studied changes made in national and state policy, as well as in corporate settings. We analyzed over 1,000 initiatives to determine how successful, sustainable changes were made in situations in which the change agent alone could not control the outcome. We found patterns present in successful initiatives and surprisingly, found change could be mounted for substantially lower investment than we might have imagined.
From this, came the Centricity PrincipleTM, a modern model for complex environments. Though it seems too simple to be true, it works and has been validated in numerous applications over the past decade.
It’s been used to catalyze the development of more medicines for children, make vaccines more available in the developing world, improve maternity care in the US, secure product placement on formularies and secure Congressional funding to improve stroke care. It's also been used to develop new products to serve health needs and to create internal changes within companies and organizations.
We've taught Centricity Principle WorkshopsTM to more than 50 groups in companies, professions and governments who now use this simple framework for planning within today's complex world.
